I accidentally dropped my Samsung Galaxy S20 into water for about three seconds. The case was on, and it looks like only the upper portion around the camera and top opening went underwater. I removed the case immediately and dried both the phone and case. Everything is currently working normally, including the camera, but I'm unsure what the small opening at the top is and whether I need to take any additional precautions. Should I turn the phone off and avoid charging it for a while?

The Galaxy S20 has an IP68 rating, so it’s designed to handle fresh water up to about 1.5 meters deep for 30 minutes under laboratory conditions. A three-second dip is unlikely to cause a problem, but water resistance can weaken with age or previous damage.
Remove the case, power the phone off, and let it dry completely until tomorrow. Cases can trap moisture against the phone. Don’t connect a charger while the USB port may still be wet; the phone may show a moisture warning until the port has dried. Avoid using heat or putting it in rice.
