I'm choosing a graphics card for a 1080p build. I was considering the Intel Arc A750 because I don't really need 1440p performance or 12GB of VRAM, and I'd prefer to save money with an 8GB card. Most of what I play is fairly light, such as Stardew Valley and The Sims, but I also want to run more demanding games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Detroit: Become Human. Would the A750 be enough, or is it worth stepping up to the Intel Arc B580?

For Stardew Valley, The Sims, and similar games, you could get by with integrated graphics or a much cheaper GPU. However, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Detroit: Become Human are considerably more demanding, so a dedicated card would provide a smoother experience. A B580 is a good value if it’s reasonably priced in your region.
The B580 is probably the better overall choice if the price difference isn’t too large. Your lighter games will run easily, while Red Dead Redemption 2 benefits from the extra VRAM and stronger performance. It should also give you more headroom for newer games at 1080p.
A used RX 6700 XT with 12GB can be worth looking at if you can find one around the equivalent of $200. It offers performance in the same general range as the B580, although it’s an older card, so check its condition and warranty before buying. For a new card, the B580 is the safer long-term pick.
That makes sense. I’ll compare local prices, since the B580 is much more expensive where I live.
