A nearby TCL air conditioner keeps appearing in my laptop's Bluetooth tray as connected, even though I never paired it. Its advertised name is `tcl_AC_t*ap_08CWD`, and I suspect it belongs to a neighbor. The Bluetooth settings page does not list it among my connected devices, but the taskbar still shows "Connected (1)" and reveals the AC's identifier when I select all devices. I have already disabled discoverability, removed my known Bluetooth devices, restarted the laptop, and tried disabling or uninstalling Bluetooth devices. How can I remove or stop this unknown AC from appearing while still keeping Bluetooth available for my earbuds?

The simplest workaround is to turn Bluetooth off when you are not using it. However, if you need Bluetooth for earbuds, check the full Bluetooth settings page instead of relying on the taskbar count. A device appearing in the nearby-device list does not necessarily mean it is connected or paired to your laptop.
Try resetting the laptop’s Bluetooth connections and removing or disabling any entry associated with that device. If it still appears after all paired devices are gone, the “Connected (1)” indicator may be a Windows tray or Bluetooth UI bug rather than an actual active connection.
I removed the Bluetooth devices I could find and tried disabling them, but the tray still reports one connected device. It may just be a display bug.
I need Bluetooth enabled for my earbuds, so completely turning it off is not a practical solution. I mainly want to confirm that the AC is not actually connected.
