My Samsung Galaxy A57 5G keeps showing a warning that moisture or foreign material has been detected in the charging port, even when the phone and surroundings are completely dry. Android 16 is installed. What is the safest way to inspect and clean the USB-C port so the warning stops without damaging the phone?

Shine a light into the port first. Dust and pocket lint can pack inside and form a dense layer that is hard to see from the outside. You can use a little compressed air on both the phone’s port and the charging cable, then gently loosen stubborn debris with a thin plastic pick. Avoid anything sharp or metallic, and don’t pry against the pins inside the port.
Even if the port looks clean, check it closely with a bright light. Packed-in lint can cause charging problems and trigger false moisture or foreign-material warnings. Also inspect the cable connector, since dirt on the cable can get transferred back into the phone.
Use a blunt plastic tool and be extremely careful. The internal contacts are delicate, so the goal is only to lift out lint rather than scrape or bend anything.
