I have 1,569 music files on my Galaxy Z Fold 7. After running a security app, PlayerPro displayed 1,562 songs instead of the full collection. However, Musicolet, the phone's internal storage, and Samsung My Files still show all of the files. I removed the security app, cleared PlayerPro's data and cache, and confirmed that the songs I tested still play normally. Should I be worried about malware or corrupted files, or is PlayerPro simply failing to recognize some formats? Most of my collection is in WMA format. I'd like to know how to verify the files, recover any that are damaged, and keep my music and phone safe without deleting everything or performing a factory reset.

Don’t delete the collection or factory-reset the phone based only on a seven-song difference. First make a backup of the music somewhere else, then compare the files and formats that PlayerPro is skipping. You can also rescan the app’s library or reinstall it after confirming the backup. If the files open and play normally in a trusted player, there’s no clear sign that they’re corrupted.
This probably isn’t malware or corruption. Since the files are still visible in your storage and another music app, the missing count is most likely a PlayerPro library or format-recognition issue. Music apps can skip files they don’t support, count duplicate versions differently, or fail to index certain encodings. WMA files in particular may not all be handled consistently on Android. If the songs play in another app, the files are generally fine.
Most of my collection is WMA, so that could explain why PlayerPro is leaving a few out even though the files are still present.
