I'm preparing to switch to Linux for the first time and want to use Ventoy to create a bootable USB drive. Where is the official download, and do I simply copy Ventoy onto the USB, or is there an installation step I need to follow?

The download page also includes instructions and packages for different systems. Double-check the USB device before clicking Install, verify your Linux ISO if possible, and use your computer’s boot menu to start from the USB afterward.
The official download is at https://www.ventoy.net/en/download.html. Download the package for your operating system, extract it, and run the included Ventoy installation tool. Select the correct USB drive and install Ventoy—this will erase that drive, so back up anything important first. Afterward, you can copy Linux ISO files onto the USB like ordinary files and choose one from Ventoy when booting.
You don’t copy the Ventoy program directly to the drive. The installation tool sets up the boot partition and the Ventoy data partition for you.
