I'm using two 60 Hz monitors: one at 1080p and the other at 4K. YouTube and other video playback are smooth on the 1080p display, but video shown on the 4K monitor looks laggy and hitchy. I've already confirmed that both monitors are set to 60 Hz. My computer uses Ethernet with gigabit broadband, and even 4K video playback on the 1080p monitor works normally. What else should I check?

Since you’re already on Ethernet and can play the same 4K video smoothly on the 1080p display, this probably isn’t a network-speed problem. Check the graphics side instead: make sure the 4K monitor is connected directly to the dedicated GPU, try a different DisplayPort or HDMI cable/port, and update the graphics driver. You can also toggle browser hardware acceleration and compare playback with it enabled and disabled. While the video is running, open the player’s statistics and check whether frames are being dropped; high GPU usage or dropped frames would point toward a rendering or driver issue rather than bandwidth.
It’s connected over Ethernet, and I’m on gigabit broadband. I can also play 4K video without problems when the video is displayed on the 1080p monitor, so the connection itself seems unlikely to be the bottleneck.
