I've never used Linux before, and I'm interested in switching from Windows because I'm uncomfortable with its privacy practices. I only have one NVMe drive, so I don't want to dual-boot. During a Fedora installation, can I simply choose an option to erase the entire drive and install Fedora as a clean replacement for Windows? I'll back up anything important first, but I'd like confirmation of how this works.
I also have two smaller questions: What can I use on Fedora instead of Wallpaper Engine for animated or interactive wallpapers? And is there any way to play Forza Horizon 6 on Linux when I purchased it through the Xbox app rather than Steam?

A game purchased through the Xbox or Microsoft Store generally can’t be added to Steam and launched through Proton like a regular Steam game. Your practical options are Xbox cloud gaming, if the title and subscription support it, or a virtual machine with GPU passthrough, which is much more complicated. Whether the game works through any unofficial compatibility project can also change over time, so there’s no reliable native setup to recommend.
Wallpaper Engine itself doesn’t have a fully equivalent Linux replacement. You can use desktop wallpaper tools or projects such as awww for supported image and animation formats, but compatibility and interactive features vary depending on your desktop environment. Fedora also includes normal wallpaper selection built in.
Yes. Fedora’s installer has an option to erase the selected drive and use it entirely for Fedora. That removes Windows and all existing data on that drive, so make a backup first. The usual process is to download the Fedora ISO, create a bootable USB, start the computer from that USB, and choose the erase-and-install option during setup.
