We enabled Microsoft 365 Backup through the Microsoft 365 admin center and assigned an Azure account for billing. Everything I've read says the charges should appear in Azure, but I can't find any billing or departmental cost information under that account. I also watched Microsoft's billing walkthrough, but the options shown there don't exist in our tenant. Has anyone successfully located the Microsoft 365 Backup costs in Azure, and is there a delay before the first charges appear?

The Azure billing tools are powerful, but the reports and license views can sometimes be inconsistent or confusing. Double-check the subscription, billing profile, and date range before assuming the service is not connected correctly.
There can be a reporting delay before Microsoft 365 Backup consumption appears in Azure Cost Management, sometimes until the next billing cycle. If the data remains missing, verify that the selected Azure subscription belongs to the same tenant and that it has an appropriate pay-as-you-go billing setup. With a very small SharePoint workload, seeing no charge yet may be expected.
In the Azure portal, open the subscription associated with Microsoft 365 Backup, then go to Cost Management or Billing to view usage and invoices. Cost data may not appear immediately after enabling the service, especially if there has been little or no billable activity.

It has been enabled for a couple of weeks, but we’re only backing up SharePoint so far and the site is around 50 MB. The current spending report still shows $0.00, so the low usage may explain it.
