I ordered a PNY RTX 2060 12GB, which should arrive on Monday, and I want to install it before school starts. I'm currently using another graphics card and I'm unsure whether I need to remove the old drivers first. Should I uninstall them through Windows, use a dedicated driver-cleanup tool, or simply swap the cards and install the new NVIDIA drivers afterward?

You may also be able to just shut down the computer, install the new card, and then download the current driver directly from NVIDIA. Modern drivers generally handle an upgrade without much trouble, so don’t overcomplicate it unless you run into crashes or display issues.
You can usually uninstall the old graphics driver through Windows’ Apps or Programs and Features section, then shut down, replace the card, and install the latest NVIDIA driver for the RTX 2060. A full cleanup tool usually isn’t necessary for a normal upgrade.
Display Driver Uninstaller, usually called DDU, is the common option if you want to remove every trace of the old driver. It’s especially useful if you’re switching between different GPU brands or having driver problems, but it may be more cleanup than you need for a straightforward upgrade.
