I upgraded from a GTX 1650 and Core i5-9400F to an RTX 5060 and Ryzen 5 5600, expecting a major performance improvement. Instead, Spider-Man Remastered stutters badly from the main menu through gameplay, performing worse than it did on my old system. I installed the latest NVIDIA and AMD chipset drivers, enabled XMP, Above 4G Decoding, and Resizable BAR, and tried optimizing the game through the NVIDIA app. Other games, including Roblox, Minecraft, Subnautica, and Subnautica: Below Zero, run smoothly, so I'm wondering whether this is specific to Spider-Man Remastered. I have not performed a clean Windows installation, although I used DDU for the old graphics drivers and removed some old CPU-related entries through Device Manager. I'd also appreciate advice on checking my RAM configuration and which BIOS, Windows, NVIDIA Control Panel, NVIDIA app, or AMD settings are actually worth changing for better performance and image quality.

Check that the memory sticks are installed in the recommended motherboard slots and that the system is actually running in dual-channel mode. Confirm the RAM speed in Task Manager or BIOS after enabling XMP/DOCP. Also check CPU and GPU temperatures, clock speeds, and utilization while the game is stuttering. Those readings can reveal thermal throttling, a power issue, or a game that is failing to use the GPU properly.
Since you changed platforms from Intel to AMD, a clean Windows installation is one of the first things I’d try. Removing the old graphics driver helps, but it may not remove every old chipset driver, service, or hardware configuration. After reinstalling, download the motherboard’s AMD chipset drivers, the current NVIDIA driver, and the latest BIOS directly from the manufacturers. Avoid changing a lot of performance options at once so you can identify what actually helps.
UserBenchmark isn’t a reliable way to diagnose this. A low ranking can come from background tasks, memory settings, driver state, or an odd test result, and it doesn’t explain why one particular game performs badly. Since several other games run smoothly, the problem may be Spider-Man’s shader compilation, graphics settings, overlays, or a game-specific optimization issue. Try verifying the game files, disabling overlays and ray tracing, clearing shader caches, and testing different presets. Leave most BIOS and NVIDIA settings at their defaults until the basic troubleshooting is done.
I tested Cyberpunk 2077 and it ran smoothly, which makes me think the hardware is generally working and the issue may be specific to Spider-Man Remastered.
I installed the AMD chipset drivers and used DDU for the old GPU drivers, but I haven’t reinstalled Windows yet. I’ll consider doing that if the other checks don’t find anything.
