I'm trying to decide whether to enable driver updates through Windows Autopatch or continue using the manufacturers' tools, such as Dell Command Update, HP Image Assistant, or similar utilities. I'm currently stuck with an Intel Extension update, version 2.1.10103.24, that keeps reinstalling and requesting a reboot. I also can't find the update in the available driver list, so I'm wondering whether it's better to disable driver updates through Autopatch and manage them with vendor tools instead.

I’d avoid letting Autopatch handle every driver automatically. Use the manufacturer’s management tool—such as Dell Command Update, HP Image Assistant, or Lenovo Commercial Vantage—and deploy or configure it through your device-management policies. That usually gives you better control over approvals and troublesome driver packages.
I generally update BIOS and drivers only when there’s a clear need, such as a security issue, hardware problem, or required fix. For HP devices, I manage BIOS updates through the vendor tooling and don’t enable broad automatic driver updates unless there’s a specific reason.
