My current PC has a Ryzen 5 5600, an RTX 5070, a 512GB PCIe Gen 3 SSD, and 16GB of DDR4-3200 installed as a single stick. It runs on a 750W SFX power supply with a Cooler Master MA612 cooler in a CH160 case, which I plan to keep. I mainly play CS2 along with a lot of single-player games. A Ryzen 7 5800X3D costs nearly $400 where I live, so that seems quite expensive. What upgrade would make the most sense to prioritize?

The CPU is probably the biggest performance upgrade, especially for CS2. The RTX 5070 can produce high frame rates, but the Ryzen 5 5600 may hold it back in a CPU-heavy game. A Ryzen 7 5700X3D is usually the better-value choice and performs fairly close to the 5800X3D for less money.
The SSD is worth upgrading eventually, especially since 512GB fills up quickly, but it should be a lower priority for gaming performance. A larger NVMe drive will improve storage capacity and loading convenience more than frame rates.
Before replacing the processor, add a second matching 16GB DDR4 stick if possible. Running one RAM stick means the system is in single-channel mode, which can noticeably reduce performance, particularly in CPU-limited games like CS2. Going to 32GB dual-channel would also help with newer single-player titles.
Agreed—the 5700X3D is the one I’d look for first. The 5800X3D is faster, but not enough to justify a much higher price in most setups.
