This is my first PC build, and I'm getting confused by the power-supply cables. My parts are an AMD Ryzen 5 7600X, an RTX 5060 Ti, and an MSI B850M motherboard with Wi‑Fi 6E. I bought a DeepCool PL650D WH rated at 650 watts. Will it provide enough power, and are the motherboard, CPU, GPU, and power connectors compatible?

It’s a functional 650W unit and your components aren’t especially demanding, so it should work. It isn’t considered a top-tier power supply, but it’s not automatically unsafe or incompatible for this build. Before powering on, connect the large 24-pin cable to the motherboard, the CPU/EPS cable near the processor socket, and the GPU power cable required by your specific 5060 Ti model.
The 650W capacity should be sufficient for a Ryzen 5 7600X and an RTX 5060 Ti. The main thing to check is which power connector your exact graphics-card model uses. If it uses a standard PCIe power plug, the PSU should be fine; if it needs a newer 12V-2x6 connector, you may need the proper adapter or a different PSU with that connector. Also make sure the motherboard’s CPU power socket is connected using the PSU cable labeled CPU/EPS—not the cable labeled PCIe.
For a first build, check the labels on both the PSU and the motherboard rather than forcing any connector. The 24-pin plug goes to the motherboard’s main socket, the 8-pin CPU/EPS plug goes near the CPU, and PCIe/VGA plugs go to the graphics card. The connectors should only fit one way, and the graphics card’s manual will confirm whether it needs an adapter.
