I'm thinking about buying an Apple Watch but haven't decided which model to choose. For models such as the Series 10, 11, or 12, how do you handle the battery lasting around 24 hours with regular use? Do you ever carry a portable charger, or is charging briefly during the day enough? Also, are certain finishes or colors more likely to show scratches? If so, which option tends to be the safest and most durable choice?

A portable battery pack usually isn’t necessary. A quick 15-minute charge can add roughly 12 hours, while around 30 minutes may provide close to another 20 hours. If durability is your priority, titanium paired with sapphire crystal is generally the most scratch-resistant option.
I normally charge mine while showering, then give it another 15–20 minutes if needed. That’s usually enough to get about 24–30 hours of use, so I haven’t needed a separate battery pack. I use a Series 11.
Most people simply charge the watch once a day while getting ready in the morning or before bed, much like charging a phone. Once it becomes part of your routine, the battery limit isn’t too difficult to manage.

I already charge my phone every day and usually keep a power pack in my bag or charge it in the car. Having to maintain a second device every day sounds a little annoying, although the Apple Watch’s features still make it appealing.
