A failing battery or charging problem can also cause repeated restarts. Try a different charging cable and wall adapter, and leave the phone charging for a while before trying again. If it still loops even in recovery mode or Safe Mode, the battery or another hardware component may need repair.
This sounds like a boot loop. Since draining the battery didn’t help, try starting the phone in Safe Mode to see whether a recently installed app is causing it. Turn the phone off, then power it on and hold the Volume Down button while it starts. If it stays on in Safe Mode, uninstall any apps you added shortly before the problem began.
You can also try the recovery menu and choose “Wipe cache partition.” This should clear temporary system files without deleting your personal data. Be careful not to select a factory reset unless you’ve backed up anything important, because that option erases the phone.
