I ran ESET Online Scanner on my computer and it reported a potentially malicious file. The scan result is shown in the attached image. Does this detection indicate a virus, and what is the safest way to remove it?

The file may be related to malware, but the scan result and detection name should be checked before deleting anything. Open ESET’s scan results, quarantine the detected item, and run another full scan. Avoid manually deleting random files from C:WindowsInstaller, since that folder can contain legitimate installers needed by Windows and other programs.
Thanks for the advice. I had already deleted the file, so I’ll run another full scan and keep an eye out for additional detections.
