I currently have an Acer Predator Orion 3000 that I bought used for €450. It has an i7-11700F, RTX 3070 8GB, 16GB DDR4, and a 1TB SN7100 NVMe drive. I'm considering spending around €1,300–€1,400 on a new build with a Core Ultra 7 265KF, ASUS RTX 5070 12GB, 16GB DDR5, an ROG Z890-F motherboard, and a 750W power supply. I would need to buy a case and CPU cooler separately, but I could reuse my current NVMe drive. My goal is smooth 1440p gaming with minimal stuttering and a system that will last for several years. Is this upgrade worth the money, or is my current PC still good enough?

Your i7-11700F and RTX 3070 are still a capable 1440p combination. Before replacing everything, check whether you’re actually experiencing stutters or running into performance problems. Upgrading to 32GB of RAM and possibly changing the graphics card could give you a lot of improvement for less money.
At 3440×1440 with ultra settings and DLSS Quality, the current system is already reaching around 90–100 FPS in demanding games. That’s a strong result, so I’d only upgrade if you want more consistent minimum FPS, a higher refresh rate, or better performance in newer titles. Otherwise, there’s no urgent need to replace the whole machine.
If you do build a new system, 16GB of RAM feels limiting for a modern gaming PC, so 32GB would be a better target. Also, an 850W Gold-rated power supply gives you more headroom than 750W and is usually a sensible choice for this class of hardware. The Core Ultra platform may also have limited future upgrade options, so consider that before spending heavily on the motherboard.
You may not need the Core Ultra 7 265KF. A less expensive 245KF could deliver very similar gaming performance, especially if tuned properly, letting you put the savings toward more RAM, a better power supply, or the graphics card. Your current performance also suggests the existing PC may be good enough unless you specifically want higher settings or refresh rates.
My current system uses the stock Acer power supply, and it isn’t very upgrade-friendly. I’m also more comfortable with Intel and Nvidia, although I’m reconsidering the graphics card options.
