I updated the BIOS on my MSI B450 Gaming Plus MAX while setting up Faceit because its requirements said a BIOS update was needed for TPM detection. Since then, Windows says my PIN is no longer available. Trying to change the PIN or sign in with my password or email leads to an error and returns me to the same login screen. Safe Mode did not resolve it, and the only message I receive when changing the PIN is that there was an error and I should try again later. I am already connected through Ethernet. How can I regain access without reaching the Windows settings?

An Ethernet connection will not usually fix this if the PIN credential itself is corrupted. The useful clue is the exact error message, but without a code, recovery tools are the next step. From the sign-in screen, hold Shift while selecting Restart, then use Troubleshoot options to access repair tools or roll back the recent change. Avoid resetting Windows until you have tried those options.
Try removing or resetting the Windows Hello PIN, then restart and set it up again. Since you cannot reach Settings, you may need to use the recovery environment or Command Prompt to repair the account and Windows system files. After getting back in, run System File Checker and the DISM repair tool, then reboot before creating a new PIN.
The BIOS update may have changed TPM or security settings, so check the BIOS and confirm that the system TPM is enabled and that the boot mode has not changed. Also make sure the BIOS update did not reset storage or Windows security settings. If the password option also loops, use Windows Recovery to try Startup Repair or restore to a restore point rather than repeatedly changing the PIN.
