Both can fit 32GB of memory and a 1TB NVMe drive, with graphics cards such as the Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB, RX 9070 GRE, or RX 9070 depending on current prices. AM5 is generally the more appealing long-term option because it offers a clearer CPU upgrade path. If you can stretch the budget, putting the extra money toward an RX 9070 or 9070 GRE should give a noticeably better 1440p experience than the RX 9060 XT.
A gaming-focused Ryzen X3D processor is a strong choice for high frame rates. One suggested €1,300 configuration uses a Ryzen 5 7500X3D, an inexpensive tower cooler, a Wi-Fi B850 motherboard, a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, a Radeon RX 9060 XT, a ventilated compact case, and a 650W Gold-rated power supply.
