Netflix Causes My RTX 4060 Ti Driver to Crash on Windows 11

Netflix keeps making my graphics driver crash, regardless of which browser I use. I have G-Sync and hardware acceleration disabled everywhere, and I installed the latest NVIDIA drivers with a clean installation, but the problem has continued for more than a month. The system is running Windows 11 with an RTX 4060 Ti and driver version 617.14. Has anyone experienced this and found a reliable fix?

Since the issue happens across multiple browsers and you’re already running a clean driver installation, it may be related to the specific NVIDIA driver version rather than Netflix itself. Try rolling back to an earlier known-stable driver with a clean install, then test Netflix before changing any other settings. Also check Event Viewer or Reliability Monitor to confirm whether the NVIDIA display driver is what’s crashing.

I’ve seen similar black-screen or driver-reset problems while streaming video on newer GPUs. If rolling back the driver helps, report it as a driver regression. It’s also worth testing with overlays disabled, including GeForce Experience, Discord, and browser overlays, because video playback can trigger conflicts even when browser hardware acceleration is off.
