I recently upgraded from an Intel Arc B580 to an AMD Radeon 9060 XT 16GB. I used DDU in Safe Mode to remove the Intel drivers, then installed the latest AMD Adrenalin package. Most games launch and run normally, but The Last of Us Part I and Red Dead Redemption 2 display a small warning claiming that my graphics driver is outdated. After dismissing it, both games run well, recognize the new GPU, and show its metrics correctly. Should I worry that the warning is causing lost performance or display problems? Could it be related to some shimmering or aliasing I see in The Last of Us Part I? I would prefer to avoid reinstalling Windows if possible—are there other troubleshooting steps worth trying?

The shimmering and aliasing are probably separate from the warning. Try changing the game's anti-aliasing, upscaling, sharpening, texture-filtering, and driver-level image-enhancement settings. You can also reset the game's shader cache and graphics settings before considering a Windows reinstall. A clean driver installation is useful if there are crashes or major performance problems, but a full OS reinstall is usually unnecessary for a harmless version prompt.
Some games show an outdated-driver warning when they detect an integrated GPU or another graphics adapter instead of the card you intend to use. Since the integrated graphics are already disabled and the games are reporting the 9060 XT correctly, that is less likely in this case, but it is still worth checking Windows Graphics settings and the game's GPU selection options.
That message is often based on a game's built-in list of recognized driver versions, so it can appear even when you have the newest driver installed. Check the exact Adrenalin version and compare it with the latest release, then update the games if patches are available. If performance, GPU detection, and stability are normal, the warning by itself usually does not mean the game is running slower.
I installed the latest AMD driver, so it may just be that those games have not updated their driver check for the newer GPU yet.
