Is This Walmart RAM Listing Legit, or Is It a Third-Party Scam?

I found a listing for what appears to be a 2×16GB RAM kit priced at $166.97 on Walmart and wanted to check whether it was legitimate. After looking more closely, it seems that price may only be for one stick, which would make two sticks cost about $333.94. The item is sold by a third-party seller rather than Walmart, and I'm concerned because the deal seems suspicious and the seller's reviews may indicate a scam. Should I avoid it and look elsewhere for RAM?

Used DDR4 kits from established sellers can sometimes be found at reasonable prices, especially if you’re trying to save money. It’s also worth checking sale listings regularly because good RAM deals can sell out quickly.

The pricing appears to be per individual memory stick, not for the complete 2×16GB kit. That makes the total much higher, and the seller’s poor feedback is another strong warning sign. I’d look for a kit sold directly by a reputable retailer instead.

Third-party marketplace listings can be risky because sellers may list misleading products or disappear after a sale. Even with a return policy, resolving the issue could be a hassle, so carefully recording the delivery and testing everything would only be a fallback—not a reason to trust this seller.

Avoid this listing. It isn’t sold by Walmart; it comes from a third-party seller whose reviews reportedly include scam complaints. A low price alone isn’t worth the risk of receiving counterfeit, incorrect, or nonexistent hardware.
