I'm currently using an Intel Core i7-11700F with an ASUS Prime B560 motherboard and a GeForce RTX 3070. My PC is used almost entirely for gaming, including titles like Gray Zone Warfare, Crimson Desert, and War Dogs. I found a $650 bundle with a Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, a Gigabyte Z890 motherboard, and 32GB of DDR5-6000 memory. The upgrade would also require replacing my motherboard and RAM. I'd like to move to a newer graphics card eventually, but GPU prices are currently too high. Would this bundle be a worthwhile upgrade, or would my money be better spent elsewhere?

If you do decide to move to a newer platform, the $650 bundle may not be the best gaming-focused option. The 7500X3D bundle is generally a stronger value for gaming, while the roughly $550 Core Ultra 5 265K Plus bundle offers similar gaming performance to the 270K Plus for less money and includes 32GB of RAM. Still, any of these DDR5 platform upgrades could be overkill while you’re continuing to use an RTX 3070.
For gaming with an RTX 3070, this probably isn’t a worthwhile upgrade yet. Your i7-11700F should handle that GPU well in most games, and the RTX 3070 is more likely to be the limiting factor than the CPU. Unless you’re seeing clear CPU bottlenecks, such as poor frame-time consistency or the GPU sitting well below full usage, you may not notice much improvement from changing the processor, motherboard, and memory. I’d save the money toward a future graphics card upgrade.
