I'm planning to use this PC mainly for Fortnite, Roblox, and Minecraft, with some AAA games occasionally. I'll be gaming at 1440p and want high FPS in the lighter games while still being able to play modern AAA titles comfortably. Does this build make sense for my needs, or is it overkill? Are the CPU and GPU well balanced, is the power supply sufficient, and would you change any parts? I'm especially interested in recommendations for a GPU that can handle high-refresh-rate 1440p gaming without being unnecessarily expensive.

If the full budget is available, this is still a solid approach for 1440p gaming. It gives you plenty of performance headroom for newer games and future upgrades, even though your current game list doesn’t require this much power. Just confirm the exact GPU, PSU wattage and model, motherboard availability, and memory pricing before purchasing.
For the games listed, this system is considerably overkill. A build costing roughly half as much could still deliver high FPS at 1440p in Fortnite, Roblox, and Minecraft, while a midrange graphics card should be enough for comfortable AAA gaming. Unless you want substantial headroom for demanding future games, there’s room to reduce the budget without giving up much of the experience.
The build should handle your target games very well, but it’s definitely more powerful than necessary for Fortnite, Roblox, and Minecraft. You could save money by choosing a less expensive GPU while still getting excellent high-refresh-rate 1440p performance. The main parts I’d reconsider are the memory and storage: paying around $208 for 16GB is poor value when 32GB of DDR5-6000 is often available for much less, and a 2TB SSD would be more practical because modern games can fill a 1TB drive quickly. The motherboard also appears to have unclear availability or pricing, so verify that before buying.
