How can I control Lenovo LOQ performance settings in Linux Mint?

I'm using a Lenovo LOQ with Linux Mint and want to adjust settings such as fan speed, CPU power limits, and GPU temperature limits. Lenovo Vantage appears to be designed for Windows, so is there a Linux-compatible tool or another recommended way to manage these settings while gaming?

Lenovo Vantage itself won’t run natively on Linux. For gaming, use Linux-compatible tools such as your desktop’s power controls, GPU utilities, and temperature-monitoring applications. Fan control and firmware-level limits may not be available on every Lenovo model, so avoid forcing settings that your laptop does not officially expose.

That makes sense. I mainly want to keep temperatures under control while gaming, so I’ll look for supported Linux tools rather than trying to install the Windows app.

There’s no official Lenovo Vantage application for Linux Mint because Vantage is a Windows-only tool. You can try community-developed alternatives, including a command-line Lenovo Vantage project and an experimental graphical interface based on it. Hardware support may vary by LOQ model, so check which features your machine exposes before changing power or thermal settings.
