I'm putting together my first PC and have most of the parts selected. I'm trying to choose an RX 9070 XT and am deciding between the ASRock Taichi, ASRock Steel Legend, and PowerColor Hellhound. Which one would you recommend?
The build will use a HYTE Y70 case, Ryzen 7 5800X3D, a 1,000W Corsair power supply, and an ASUS DDR4 motherboard. I'll mainly use the system for digital art, animation, video editing, music production and recording, with some gaming such as Destiny 2, Tekken 8 and Final Fantasy XIV.

Your 1,000W PSU is more than this system needs, but it gives you plenty of headroom for future upgrades. With a 5800X3D and RX 9070 XT, actual gaming power draw should generally be far below that. For the GPU itself, I’d rank XFX first, PowerColor second, and ASRock after that based on cooler and overall value.
That makes sense. I was originally choosing the 1,000W unit because an online build calculator estimated close to 877W, but it sounds like that estimate was being overly conservative. Since I’ll also be doing editing and creative work, I’ll compare the cards based on price, cooling and noise rather than expecting a major performance difference.
You probably don’t need the Taichi-tier model. A Hellhound or another reasonably priced 9070 XT should perform almost identically, since the factory overclock differences are usually tiny. Spend extra only if the premium model has a noticeably better cooler, quieter fans or features you actually care about.
I’d lean toward PowerColor over ASRock. The Hellhound should be more than enough for this card, and I wouldn’t pay a big premium for a higher-end model unless you specifically want the extra cooling, lower noise or appearance. XFX is also worth considering if you find one at a good price.
