What’s a Fun, Interactive Way to Learn C# Like Karel the Robot?

I'm new to programming and learned a fair amount of Java a few months ago while working on Minecraft mods. Now I'd like to broaden my skills by learning C#, especially since I'm interested in using Unity. I know C# and Java have very similar syntax, but I really enjoyed learning with Karel the Robot because it made me practice concepts repeatedly and build muscle memory through interactive challenges. Is there an engaging, hands-on C# learning tool that offers a similar experience? I'm willing to use a video series if necessary, but I'd prefer something where I can actively control or solve problems rather than just watch lessons.

You may not need a completely different learning path for C#. Once you understand Java, the basic syntax should come quickly, so focus on the differences between the languages and spend most of your time building small projects. A simple grid-based game or Unity prototype can give you the same repetition and problem-solving practice that made Karel useful.

Since you already know Java, a beginner-focused interactive course may feel easy pretty quickly because C# is very similar. You could try an interactive C# fundamentals path and then recreate a Karel-style exercise yourself: make a character move around a grid, turn, and pick up or place objects. That lets you practice real C# features such as methods, loops, and conditionals while keeping the immediate feedback you liked.

CodinGame is worth checking out. It teaches programming through small puzzles and games, and you can use C# to solve many of the challenges. It won’t be exactly the same as Karel, but it provides plenty of hands-on practice and feedback.
