Hey everyone! I'm hoping to find some recommendations for web browsers that can handle a massive number of tabs—I'm talking over 1000! Right now, I'm using Chrome with the Marvelous Suspender extension, but since the V2 manifest extension is coming to an end, I need to find a new solution. Unfortunately, most current tab suspenders don't seem as effective as the old Marvelous Suspender. I've seen mentions of the Greater-er Tab Discarder, but it still doesn't compare.
I rely heavily on my browser to manage my workflow, and managing 1300 tabs across 14 windows is a must for me. The options I've found so far all boast low memory usage, but I seriously doubt they've been stress-tested with that many tabs. Ideally, I'd love to find a browser that allows Marvelous Suspender to work without bugs. Any suggestions?

Honestly, I’ve never had that many tabs open, but when I tested Brave, it worked well for around 250. It allows tab grouping and has a neat vertical navigation bar that saves space. Plus, it optimizes memory for unused tabs, which might be great for you. Have you thought about trying Brave? You can even split your tabs between profiles!
Yeah, Chrome has some built-in features now that mimic what those plugins did. But the real deal is that the Marvelous Suspender does an awesome job at reducing resource usage, which Chrome’s built-in option just can’t match. The plugin’s going away due to the ManifestV2 update, which is a bummer.
Exactly! The effectiveness of a proper suspender is unmatched, and just having Chrome's features doesn’t come close.
Wow, 1300 tabs? That's a bold move! I’m really curious about your workflow—most people just use their browsers for a few tabs and let everything else pile up. What’s the secret to managing all those?
I get your struggle. But honestly, if you need that many tabs for your workflow, maybe it's time to rethink it. Have you thought about using headless browsers or tools that manipulate the DOM? It might drastically change how you manage those resources.
If you're managing that many tabs, maybe consider a session manager. I used to use Sidekick, but now I’m on Arc. It auto-cleans unused tabs after a few days, and you can pin important ones. It really keeps things tidy!
I’ve thought about switching to Brave but moving tabs between browsers sounds like a trek. It’s wild how in 20 years Chrome hasn't really nailed tab management for heavy-duty users.
