I'm a lifelong Windows user and new to Linux, so I'm a bit lost. I'm trying to run Star Citizen on Arch Linux with Hyprland, but I'm not sure how to proceed since I don't have much experience with the terminal or coding. I have installed Wine and Lutris, but I'm not quite sure how to use them effectively or if I even need to run the game through Wine. Here's my setup:
- RTX 3070
- 32GB RAM
- Intel i7 CPU (not sure which model)
- 1 or 2TB Samsung 980 Pro
I've done some updates and driver checks, but I really need guidance on how to get Star Citizen up and running. Any help would be appreciated!

Don't stress about coding; you'll get the hang of using the terminal just like on Windows. Arch isn't the easiest for absolute beginners, but if you're committed to learning, it can be worth it. For your game, try using Lutris or Heroic Games Launcher. You might want to join the Star Citizen Linux Users Group for more specialized support.
You might find it easier to install Bottles via Flatpak. Create a new bottle for gaming, then go in, click 'Install Program' and select Star Citizen. If you prefer, Lutris is also a good go-to for this kind of setup.
I just searched for RSI in the apps center and managed to open the launcher. Do I need to run it through Wine (or Bottles), or can I just launch it directly?
Using Wine helps with some issues, but Star Citizen can have its own quirks regardless.
I switched to Arch from Mint because I found Mint harder to manage, and I wanted to tackle challenges. If coding isn't necessary, how can I get better at configuring things on my own? I used an auto script for Arch with Hyprland, but now I'm kinda lost about where everything is or how to make changes.
