My PC Won’t Turn On – What Could Be Wrong?

Hey everyone! A couple of years back, I built a PC that runs XigmaNAS, which I use to back up my other computers. Today, when I pressed the power button, nothing happened at all—no fans spinning or any sounds. I even removed the power supply and when I shorted the power up pin with ground, the fans spun for a bit. Could it be that my motherboard is dead? What should I check next?

It might be the motherboard, but you should check all the parts one by one to rule things out. Sometimes it could just be a loose connection or something simple.

How can I check the motherboard if it's not lighting up? I don't remember if there were any LEDs on it.
