Can I Salvage My PC After It Got Damaged?

I'm in a bit of a pickle with my PC. It took a beating while I was away during a house party and some partygoer threw it into the oven when the music stopped. I haven't seen the damage myself yet, but I'm wondering if I buy a new case and rebuild it carefully, is there any chance that some parts are still salvageable? I'd really appreciate any advice on this!

I’m honestly shocked that someone would throw a PC into an oven! But don't lose hope. Sometimes only the visibly damaged parts need replacing. Just take your time to assess everything once you get it all out. Good luck!

You may end up having to replace both the PSU and GPU. At least some components might be okay. Just make sure to check them thoroughly before assuming anything!

It sounds like you might need a new GPU for sure. If it’s just the GPU, that’s better than I expected — it could’ve been worse! If you can replace that, you might be in better shape than you think.

If it’s just the GPU I think I’m doing well; thought there could have been a lot more damage, thanks!

Wow, what a wild story! Definitely sounds like you’ll need a new PSU and GPU based on what you described. Hopefully, the rest is salvageable. Who throws a PC in the oven, though? That's just bizarre!
