Has ChatGPT’s Free Version Become More Limited Recently?

I've been using ChatGPT Free lately and it feels like the service has gotten much more restricted in the last couple of weeks. I'm not just imagining it—there seems to be a trend toward putting advanced features behind a paywall. For anyone involved in creative work that requires file uploads, images, or multiple iterations, it's becoming really challenging on the free tier. I've noticed issues like needing to wait to upload files and having my searches slowed down. How are other free users feeling about this?

I started using ChatGPT earlier this year. Back then, I could upload lots of files and get quick responses without waiting. Now it's definitely more limited, especially with uploads. The advanced analysis is often off-limits, which is frustrating for someone who needs those features.

I totally get it! It's like they're trying to push us to pay for things that used to be free, and it's driving me a bit crazy. I feel more restricted than before, and it’s annoying when I just want to quickly get some analysis done.

I see it like gaming—making everything pay-to-win. It's not just ChatGPT; it feels like every app is heading this way. If they keep limiting the free version, they’ll lose a lot of users.

Actually, I’ve been noticing the opposite lately! My wait times between messages have decreased, and I'm still able to upload files without much hassle. But I get why others are frustrated given past experience—those who used it more heavily seem to feel the crunch more.
