I've been facing a strange issue with my PC since installing the last two Windows updates. When I'm using Ethernet, websites load really slowly or even time out, but my download speeds are actually faster than when I use WiFi. Oddly enough, switching to WiFi gives me normal website loading times, even though my download speeds drop a bit.
I've done a few things to try to fix this:
- Disabled IPv6
- Restarted the router, which worked temporarily but the problem came back after I restarted my PC
- Swapped Ethernet cables and ports, but that didn't change anything
I was hoping the last Windows patch would fix it, but no luck. It seems like there's a bottleneck or something misconfigured with the Ethernet connection affecting web traffic without impacting download speeds. Has anyone encountered this problem or know how to fix it? Any suggestions would be really helpful!

It sounds frustrating! Have you tried flushing your DNS cache? That sometimes helps with connection speed issues. You could also try using different DNS servers altogether. I've dealt with similar problems and changing my DNS resolved it. Good luck!
Start by checking your DNS settings. Sometimes if your DNS is set statically on your wired connection, it can cause delays in loading webpages while your downloads might still fly through. Make sure to try using Google's DNS or OpenDNS and see if that makes a difference.
