What do you think is the final benchmark for considering something to be true AGI? I'm curious about how this goalpost has shifted over time, especially since many believed that what we currently have could already be classified as AGI back in 2019. How do we determine when we've genuinely reached this milestone?

To me, AGI should be when an AI is capable of learning and adapting in a way that’s indistinguishable from a human's ability to think and interact. It should be able to navigate through various forms of intelligence, showing continuity as if you're meeting the same person multiple times. Right now, tasks that require human-level reasoning are still quite tough for AI.
Even if we make incredible advancements, I doubt humans would easily admit that AI has surpassed us. Just think— in a dystopian scenario with robots ruling the world, there would still be skeptics clinging to the idea that we haven’t been bested.
