I've been working in web development for about three years now, but if I count the hours I've actually studied, it's closer to a year due to burnout from full-time jobs. I'm really looking for some practical advice on improving my problem-solving skills, app building, and knowing when to use specific libraries and frameworks. I get that data structures and algorithms (DSA) are important, but do I really need to focus on them for web development? I feel like understanding performance comes after I've built something, right?
I've created around 30 apps on GitHub that I consider finished (even if they aren't really), but I'm struggling with breaking projects down into manageable parts. Often, I find myself stuck and turning to Google instead of trying to figure things out myself. I'd love to develop a better understanding of how to tackle problems independently before hitting up Google or other resources for answers.
