Should I upgrade my CPU if I get a 9060 XT?

I'm considering picking up a 9060 XT when it launches, especially if I can get it for around $400-450. Currently, I have an R7 3700X paired with an RX 5700 XT. My only concern is that my system struggles a bit with the new Oblivion remaster. I usually game at 1080p, 144hz. Should I think about upgrading my CPU, or is it sufficient for now? Let me know if you need more info!

You can stick with what you have for now. If you want to be cost-effective, a 5600 or 5700X upgrade in the future could serve you well. Just make sure to watch for deals!

Consider looking for a used Ryzen 5 from the 5th gen; they might be a good swap for your current CPU while saving you some cash for upgrades.

Overall, your setup is decent. Upgrade to a 5700X down the line when you can, but honestly, it’s not something to stress about right now.

Your R7 3700X should work well with the 9060 XT. Instead of rushing to upgrade, you could save up for a 5700X3D later. You won’t need to overhaul your entire build just yet!

Definitely a solid plan. The 5700X3D is a great option for future-proofing without breaking the bank right now.
