Is Upgrading from a 6600K to a 10700K a Good Move?

Hey everyone! I'm considering an upgrade for my PC to run Windows 11 and specifically to enhance my experience in Elden Ring Nightreign. Right now, I'm on an i5-6600K and a GTX 1070 8GB, all powered by a Z170-A motherboard, but I'm starting to hit some bottlenecks with CPU performance. I found a used upgrade kit for €330 that includes an Intel i7-10700K, an MSI Mag Tomahawk Z490 motherboard, and 32 GB of G-Skill Ripjaws 3200 MHz RAM. Money's a bit tight, so I'm not looking to build a completely new rig since I also don't have much time to game. I have a 750W Gold EVGA PSU that I think should handle this upgrade just fine, and my Noctua NH-D15 cooler should fit in this setup. Do you think this upgrade is worth it, or am I missing something important?

I’d suggest looking into the i5-14400F or 13400F instead of the 10700K. They offer great performance and are more modern options. If your budget allows, consider AM5 boards, but that might vary depending on your location.

Yeah, if I go for newer parts, I'd probably have to shell out a lot more, and I'm just trying to get by until I can afford a full upgrade in a year or so after finishing university. My current setup has been around since 2016, and if I do upgrade, I might just keep the Noctua cooler and my case. I want to avoid a low-quality motherboard too since my Z170-A is on the lower end already.
