I'm currently using a Ryzen 5 5600X and an RX 6600, with 16GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. I've noticed many new games are requiring an SSD, but 16GB of RAM feels a bit limiting these days. Should I upgrade to something now or just wait until I can build a whole new PC? I'm also wondering if it's even worth upgrading at all since DDR4 is slowly getting outdated.

Your CPU and DDR4 RAM will still perform really well for gaming for a while. I suggest getting a secondary SSD or NVMe drive for your games, and maybe consider a 32GB (2x16GB) RAM kit for your current setup. This should keep your system running smoothly for years to come.
But honestly, 32GB might be overkill for DDR4 right now.
If you can find an affordable Gen 4 SSD, like a Lexar, that could be a smart buy since it’ll fit in future builds too. The same goes for your GPU, by the way.
Thx a lot!
I definitely recommend upgrading your storage first. If you decide to build a new PC later, you can still carry that SSD over with you!
Thanks for the advice!
Thank you!
