I'm considering a combo deal for an Asrock X870 Pro RS Wifi motherboard and an Asrock Steel Legend 9070 XT for a total of $869.98 after a mail-in rebate, sold by Newegg. I'm planning to pair this with a 9800X3D CPU for some casual 4K gaming. Is this a good buy, or should I look for alternatives?

Honestly, I'd steer clear of Asrock until they're done fixing these issues. They know there's a problem and are working on it, but I'd wait it out until everything's sorted. Just too risky right now.
What frame rates are you hoping to get, and which games do you want to play? That's what's really going to help you decide if this GPU is right for you.
I'd be happy with 60+ fps and I’m cool with using FSR4 if it helps me get there! Just want to make sure it can handle my favorites.
I've heard a lot of bad things about Asrock motherboards, especially with the 9800X3D—they've been known to fry CPUs. I'd suggest looking for a different motherboard if you can.
