I'm looking into the pricing options and considering whether I should go for a Claude Max subscription. It seems like the basic Max plan offers a 5x limit compared to the Pro plan. So I'm thinking, instead of getting a Max subscription, why not just get 5 different Pro subscriptions? If I do the math, that's $85 for 5 plans ($17 each). It seems cheaper and more scalable—maybe I could buy 3 annual plans and add 2 more as I need them. Other than the hassle of switching accounts, are there any real benefits of going for Max over Pro?

If you're looking to use multiple accounts, you could also consider getting an API key and utilizing OpenRouter from various providers, like Amazon Bedrock. This way, you can scale as much as you need without being tied to just one plan.
One main advantage of Claude Max is that you get access to Claude 4 Opus, which isn’t available with the Pro plans. This could be a significant factor depending on what you're looking to do with the service.
I currently have access to Opus on my Pro account, so it might depend on what kind of features you need!

For the $200 monthly cost of Claude Max, I find that I'm utilizing what would easily amount to thousands of dollars in tokens each month when I factor in everything!
