Hey everyone! I'm curious if having an iPad is beneficial for practicing Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), especially for sketching out ideas rather than coding. I'm thinking about using it for drawing diagrams and including them in my digital notes for system design and things like that. How many of you use an iPad for this purpose, and what exactly do you use it for?

Sounds like you just want an excuse to get an iPad! But honestly, if you're looking to sketch out ideas, it could be a real asset. It's like having everything you need in one place!
Haha, you might be onto something there!
If you've already got an iPad and a stylus, cool! But honestly, pen and paper work just as well. Many of us at work stick to the old-school methods like whiteboards for team stuff. But hey, if you need it for classes, it might actually be worth it to take notes directly into your digital documents.
I think tablets are great for students with all the documents we get now.
Yeah, but they can get pretty bulky over time.
I have an iPad with an Apple Pencil, and I love it! I use it for quick drawings, notes, and algorithms, but I wouldn't say I bought it just for that purpose. It definitely helps keep everything organized though!
But is it really better than just using pen and paper?
I don't think an iPad is necessary for programming tasks. I tried using one for diagrams and found it more hassle than it’s worth compared to good old pen and paper.
I find having a second screen, like an iPad, super helpful. It lets me keep reference materials handy, which is great while coding or studying. Plus, it's convenient for annotating documents and drawing out designs!

Totally! Just make sure to back it all up.
