Has anyone else dealt with a third-party API issue for over 10 months?

I've been struggling with a problem related to a third-party vendor's API for more than 10 months now. It all started back in mid-August when I first opened a support ticket regarding some abnormal results their API was returning. Despite numerous follow-ups and even conducting my own investigation to provide them with detailed replication steps, the development team kept dragging their feet. They mentioned they couldn't reproduce the issue without specific future date examples and ultimately decided not to investigate further around February. After escalating, I was assured someone would look into it, but it feels like I've just been going in circles with irrelevant questions and no concrete progress. Recently, I finally heard they managed to replicate the issue, and they're supposedly working on a fix to be tested by the 28th. My coworker joked that this must be some kind of record for an unresolved case. I'm really curious to know if anyone else has faced similar lengthy waits for third-party support.

That sounds pretty frustrating! I've had similar experiences, especially with Meta's Graph API since they cut off proper dev support. It was like a new headache every day! Totally get how draining this wait is for you.

I completely understand where you’re coming from. We thought about switching too, but this vendor has been relatively stable compared to others. We've made a workaround for now, so we’re just hoping they get it sorted out soon.

If they aren't prioritizing your issue, maybe you should consider looking for alternatives. I had to ditch one vendor that was dragging their feet and switched to a much better one. Even saved some cash! But I get the hesitation—switching can be a pain, especially with how legacy systems can be.

Oh man, I raised a ticket with Microsoft about 3 years ago, and it’s still open! It's definitely not uncommon for these issues to take ages if the vendors aren't prioritizing fixes.
