Hey everyone! I'm a 50-year-old tech enthusiast with a long history in IT, having worked with keyboards since 1983. I've got a successful career in Linux, network security, and DevOps, along with numerous certifications including DP-900, SC-900, AZ-900, AZ-104, and AZ-305. I recently completed the AZ-500 course to prepare for the upcoming SC-100 exam, which is in ten days. Unfortunately, despite my extensive experience, I struggled with the AZ-500 exam and scored a disappointing 450 points. I'm feeling frustrated since the Microsoft Learn content and instructor-led training didn't seem to equip me for the exam content. I would really appreciate any recommendations or resources to help me prepare better for the AZ-500 exam before I retake it. Thanks in advance!

I took the AZ-500 and found it challenging but passed it on my first try! I recommend using A Cloud Guru for resources and practice; it's fantastic for exam prep. Good luck with your retake!

It sounds like you're dealing with a tough exam! Make sure to check out the John Savill videos on YouTube; they cover a lot of important topics. It might also help to buy practice exams to get a feel for the questions. Lab some scenarios if you can, as it could really help solidify your knowledge!

I’ve been an Azure Admin for about five years and had the same issue with questions that don’t reflect the real-world scenarios. That’s what makes this exam so tricky!

Here are some great resources:
1. Check out the link to Microsoft certification study guides.
2. Utilize the Microsoft On-demand Instructor-led training series—you mentioned you already used this, and it's handy for exam prep.
3. Don't forget the Microsoft Exam Readiness Zone for tips and guides.
4. Use platforms like Godeploy for hands-on labs if you’re short on time.
5. Practice tests from TutorialsDojo and MeasureUp can really help too! Good luck!
