I recently moved into an apartment and the wifi provided by the apartment manager is incredibly slow. Since my job requires me to communicate with clients all day, I really need a faster internet connection! I've tried reaching out to Optus, but I can't set up my own plan because the apartment has a shared network. Besides StarLink, is there any other option I can explore to improve my internet speed? I know it sounds silly, but I'm honestly at a loss here. Hotspotting options haven't worked well either since the connection keeps dropping. Any advice would be appreciated!

Unfortunately, you might need to have a chat with your landlord about this. You could look into cellular broadband options, but they typically yield similar speeds to a mobile hotspot, which might not help much due to location and conditions. You could also discuss with the landlord about possibly running an ethernet cable to your apartment to set up your own access point. That could be a better option in terms of stability and speed, but it depends on what your landlord is willing to allow.
Why not try using a carrier pigeon! 😂 With the state of internet these days, it might be faster than what you're dealing with!
But even then, it doesn't guarantee better speeds. If the main router they have doesn't support great MU-MIMO capability, you might just end up with better latency, not faster internet.
