I've been using ChatGPT for fun in the past, but recently I've stopped unless it's absolutely necessary for my classes, which I really dislike. I feel like using AI for answers takes away from the work that should be done by humans. While I can see AI handling mundane tasks, I worry about people getting lazy and relying on it for quick answers, plus the environmental impacts it might have. I've even installed a Google AI blocker and promised myself to avoid ChatGPT whenever possible, but I'm curious about other sneaky ways AI creeps into our lives. Any suggestions on how I can cut down on AI usage that I might not have thought of?

I noticed that the only unavoidable AI was in Google search results. So, I switched to DuckDuckGo. It feels a bit more private and less AI-heavy for my searches!
Upvote for DuckDuckGo! Not as "pure" maybe, but better than the mainstream options.
Honestly, I don’t bother avoiding AI totally. I decide not to do unproductive things with it. AI has its uses and isn't going anywhere – just don't let it replace what you do. It's about utilizing it wisely, not completely rejecting it.
Love this perspective! It's all about balance.
You control your choices! But honestly, this reads a bit like you're trying to kick a habit. Just be mindful of when you're using AI. Maybe explore where you use it most often and find alternatives.
Haha, I just want to stay consistent in my avoidance and not accidentally use it while discussing its pitfalls!
Seems like avoiding ChatGPT might be a bit extreme. I find it super helpful. At this point, completely off-gridding isn't feasible; we might be too late to worry about AI integration.
Gotcha, thanks for the tip!
