Hey everyone, I'm having a problem with my C drive. Despite not having any games downloaded, it still seems to be running low on space. Right now, I only have about 70GB free out of 232GB. I'm not sure what I can delete to free up more space. Any advice?

Honestly, 256GB for an OS drive can be tough, especially with the size of modern applications. You might want to look into managing your data usage better or even upgrading in the future. That's if you can convince your dad that it's worth it!
Windows 11 itself takes up quite a bit of space, like 30-40GB. Plus, it keeps older versions around when you update, which can eat up more storage. Also, if you use a lot of browsers and extensions, that can quickly add up. You might want to check what's actually on your drive or consider whether you need some of these programs.
Exactly! I didn’t realize how much data my browsers were munching until I started cleaning house.
And don’t forget to check if your Recycle Bin is empty! That can sometimes hold a surprising amount of data.
Yup, I cleared that out recently.
You might want to run Disk Cleanup. Just be sure to select the 'Clean up system files' option when you're in there. It usually ends up freeing a good amount of space. If 70GB is all you’ve got free, that's decent. Just be mindful of what else you're downloading.
I usually download a lot of random stuff, so that space fills up quickly.
Have you tried using TreeSize? It’s a great tool that can help you see what’s really taking up space on your drive. I used it recently and found a ton of old files I didn’t even know were there, like cache files from Teams that cleared up 30GB for me!
Same here! Once I found those hidden files, my drive felt a lot lighter.
Yeah, I get that. I really don’t want to waste the money he spent on this SSD.
