I'm encountering a frustrating issue where my Windows 10 PC is getting extremely slow WiFi speeds—around 1/10th of what all my other devices are receiving. I don't have any antivirus software installed, and there are no firewall or VPN settings active. I've already tried some basic troubleshooting steps like running a /flushdns, restarting, forgetting the wireless networks, and even reinstalled my ASUS PCI-E adapter. Oddly enough, the adapter software shows speeds between 600-800 Mbps, which matches what other devices experience. However, the actual speeds on my PC are less than 100 Mbps, sometimes peaking at around 75 Mbps. I'm okay with it being slower, but 1/10th just doesn't make sense! I'm looking for any advice on what might be causing this issue. Thanks!

Have you tried a few things that might improve your situation? For starters, consider disabling IPv6; it can sometimes help with speed issues. Also, check if there are any background processes running that might be eating up bandwidth, like updates. Make sure RSS is enabled and maybe try changing your WiFi channel just in case there's interference. Good luck!
That's frustrating! Have you noticed any difference in how Chrome or other browsers use the network? Maybe there's a restriction somewhere affecting the speed.
What WiFi card are you using? It can make a difference! Ensure that both antennas are securely connected as well. Sometimes, a loose connection can lead to throttled speeds.
I'm using the ASUS PCE-AC68 802.11ac Network Adapter, and the link speed is showing 943 Mbps right now. The card seems fine in terms of communication with the router, but my PC is just not utilizing the speed properly.
I've disabled IPv6 and changed the WiFi channel, but there aren't any heavy background processes. The only significant users are Chrome and Discord, and they hardly take up any bandwidth, even when I run speed tests.
