I'm on the hunt for a free web hosting service where I can upload my HTML files and just leave it at that. I'm not looking for any backend features like PHP or SQL, nor do I need analytics or editing capabilities after I publish my site. My key requirements are that it needs to be free, must not link to GitHub, and there shouldn't be any ads displayed on my site. Any recommendations?

Netlify and Azure both have great options for static sites, but you’ll have to see which fits your needs best regarding the no-GitHub requirement.
If your site is under around 10MB, alwaysdata.com is a fantastic choice. It’s free and quite user-friendly for basic HTML hosting without ads.
You might want to check out Cloudflare Pages! It's a reliable option for hosting static sites without any ads or GitHub integration.
I suggest trying Neocities.org. It's free, simple to use for file uploads, and they don’t display ads, plus you don’t need GitHub at all!
