I'm thinking about trying out Linux but I don't have enough space on my main disk for dual booting. I've heard that many Linux distros can run well from a USB drive, so I'm curious which ones are recommended for booting from a live USB while I get familiar with Linux.

If you're looking for something basic, Mint is a solid choice! It's pretty popular and has a gentle learning curve for newcomers.
You might want to check out the distro selection page on the wiki for more options! Also, always remember to back up data and understand commands before executing them.
Lubuntu has been my go-to for live USB usage. It runs smoothly even with persistence, which is a plus!
Ubuntu is always a good fallback. I keep a USB handy just in case my main system crashes. It's got a huge community behind it and loads of software support!
It really depends on what you need to do! For my live USB needs, I've found MX Linux works great. It's user-friendly and has a lot of tools available.
Thanks for the suggestion!
